30/09/2005 09:03:33 |
The first of 4 Walt Disney World Parks we went to was Epcot. This photo was taken just outside the entrance, showing the Epcot Ball with the Spaceship Earth ride inside - together with Mickey's hand and wand.

Ever fancied being a crash test dummy? If so then Test Track is the ride for you! This shot was taken from the outside, where you can see one of the banked tracks the cars race along.

Journey into Imagination included a Kodak lab where you could send home photo's of yourself edited by your imagination. Here is Hayden merged into a Tiger, in honour of his hero Tigger.

Epcot - World Showcase |
30/09/2005 16:14:30 |
This lake is located in the centre of the World Showcase area of the park, around which are pavilions containing rides and exhibitions from 11countries around the world - including the UK, South Africa and even Norway. It is also the setting for the Illuminations firework display every night. While we were there there was a Food and Wine Festival taking place around the World Showcase, with stands cooking food and serving wine from around the world. This, as you can imagine, gave us the perfect opportunity to eat our way around the globe!

And one last shot before leaving, showing the Mickey and Minnie topiary by night. No idea who the stranger is, but you have no idea how difficult it is to shoot anything in Disney without someone in the way!!!

Day 2 - 1st Oct 2005 - a break from the parks |
01/10/2005 15:32:06 |
Yes, after only one day Célia needed a break, so it was off for some retail therapy. And for lunch, a delicious, half portion (yes, that's a half portion!) salad at the Cheesecake Factory in the Mall at Millenia. No, there wasn't any room for their famous cheesecake!
