This is some carvings and statues from a cave just south of the Cheops Pyramid.

As you have finished gazing at the majesty of the Pyramids, and the Sphinx, you turn and see the sprawl of Giza, and back to reality with a Pizza Hut and KFC.

On our last full day in Cairo, we had planned to see the Khan al-Khalili for the morning, but not being market fans and after seeing 1 too many tat stores, we called it a day and our driver (Mohammed) took us to the Abdeen palace which is a Military Museum, which passed a hour until our lunch appointment.

For lunch we went to the Le Meridian, which has a revolving restaurant, which gave some great views over Cairo whilst we ate.

After lunch we went down to the Oldest part of Cairo, the Walled Coptic Cairo, home to the Christian church. The ex-Security General of the UN Boutros Boutros Ghali is a Copt.

On our way back we passed a working quarry.
