For our Wedding Aniversary, we went up to the Lake District and stayed in a small Hotel at Windermere. This was our first view of the Lake.

In Windermere was a museum dedicated to the stories of Beatrix Potter, we did realise that neither of us knew the stories that well. But it was here that Celia learnt that STA Travel were interested in offering her the role of Marketing Director.

A good meal here, but it did seem to be in reverse where each course was not quite as good as the previous one. But the desert was good, it was just that the starters were very very good.

A Thomas the Tank Engine?. We took a boat ride down to Lakeside and from there jumped on a Train down to Haverthwaite, though there was just time for a quick look arround the station before the train back.

Now this was a great meal. The service was great and the food delicious. It was a late start and we were almost the last to leave but try it.
